A night in Frisco Baby!

A few weeks ago we jumped on I-70 and headed about an hour west to a little place called Frisco. Nick is living here for the moment while working on an engineering job in Leadville.

After unpacking our full car of kid stuff for a one night stay, we headed into town. Look at these two handsome brothers, sorry ladies they are taken:) I love summer in Colorado because almost every town you go to has some little festival going on.

While we drank some cold beer and listened to the live band, Mason managed to find the place he could get into the most trouble. After a few meltdowns we decided we should head to dinner.

The bean dip and some daddy kisses seemed to be just what our lil' guy needed.
Us adults needed some margaritas and coronas. Aren't these two adorable? Love them!
Its nice to dine out with family because everyone is willing to take a turn holding/chasing Mason so we can inhale our food.
Mason adores his Uncle Nick. Every morning I ask Mason who was in his dreams and he tells me Nick and Bus...sometimes Nick is even driving the bus:)
He also adores his Aunt Ang who is a natural with the kiddos.
I think you two should have one or you can just borrow ours for the time being.

After dinner we headed back to Nick's and tucked Mason in for the night (or so we thought) and proceeded to have wine and talk until 10. We really enjoy the company of our siblings and their mates and this evening was no different.

At about 2 am Mason woke up, crying, fever and throwing up...poor guy. We sat out in Nick's living room in the rocking chair, looking at Lake Dillon with the full moon in the air and all Mason could say was "Star momma" so I sang twinkle little star at least 100 times until he fell asleep. We made a blanket bed on the living room floor and cuddled in for a few hours. Not the best nights sleep but man do I love the cuddling.
The next day Mason was not a 100% but he felt better so we decided to proceed with our activities. We headed to Breckenridge and up the gondola. Mason was clenching his uncle Nick while he quietly took in the awesome ride.
Nice sunnies, you all are to cute.
At the top we lied about Mason's age and headed for the alpine slide (you have to be 2 years) but what does it matter you are riding with an adult. I was more nervous about the chairlift which was very uneventful.
Thanks Ang for getting the front shot of Mason's first chairlift ride, hopefully next time he will be in winter attire.

Thanks family for a really fun weekend. Mason is still talking about the big slide. We will keep praying you get to be there during ski season:) Love you guys!
